Great to see traditional bakery still expanding. Cornwall's Warrens Bakery, holder of the title oldest pasty maker in the world, has opened its 48th location inside Trago's petrol station in Newton Abbot, one of the West Country's highest-traffic fuel stops, just off the A38 Devon Expressway.

The counter stocks the full Warrens range: hand-crimped Cornish pasties, a new spring line of gourmet sausage rolls, sweet bakes, cold drinks and tea. Alongside the food offer, the site marks a first for the brand, a self-service 'Proud To Serve' coffee machine dispensing Wild Meadow artisan coffee, a medium hand-roasted blend sourced from UK roastery Bridge Coffee and carrying 100% certification.

Craig Wood, Assistant Retail Director at Warrens Bakery, confirmed that further joint projects with Trago are already underway, with details expected in the coming months. Trago Group Managing Director Kim Ackland echoed that the Newton Abbot site has more developments ahead that will expand the customer offer.
