British food brand Teffie has secured a listing on Ocado for its reformulated Chocolate Date Brownie and Cinnamon Bun snacks, marking its entry into one of the UK’s leading online grocery platforms.
The products, available from 29 October 2026 at £12.00 for a pack of six, join Teffie’s existing retail presence at Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason, Planet Organic and Holland & Barrett Online.
Founded by Jessica Singh, who was named in the Forbes 30 Under 30, Teffie centres on teff, a gluten-free ancient grain with origins in Ethiopia and a history of cultivation spanning thousands of years. The brand describes its reformulation as a move away from brown rice syrup, refined sugar, seed oils and artificial sweeteners, with the products free from the 14 major food allergens.
Teff was included in Unilever’s Future 50 Foods list, which highlights ingredients the food industry has identified as candidates for broader adoption. The global ancient grains market is projected to reach $10.52 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 37.6%, according to Meticulous Research (2024).
The Ocado listing comes against a backdrop of rising consumer interest in fibre. Searches for “high fibre” products on Ocado.com increased 87% year-on-year, with broader fibre-related searches up 78%, according to Ocado Retail data from September 2025. The UK government’s National Diet and Nutrition Survey has consistently reported that many adults do not meet recommended fibre intake levels.
Dr Scott Robinson PhD, nutrition advisor to Teffie, said: “Fibre is an important part of a balanced diet, yet many people in the UK are not meeting recommended intake levels. Ancient grains like teff are seeing renewed interest for exactly this reason, and everyday foods and snacks can be one opportunity to increase fibre intake.” He added that teff’s nutritional profile and its use in a convenient format could help introduce it to a wider audience.
Jessica Singh, founder and chief executive, said: “Securing a listing with Ocado is a significant milestone for us, and an exciting step in bringing teff, and future-proof food, to more homes across the UK.”
A third product, Chocolate Jaffa Orange, is planned for later in 2026.
