From July 2026, Sveba Dahlen, the Swedish manufacturer of ovens and production equipment for bakeries, pastry shops, restaurants and commercial kitchens, will operate under a new corporate parent. The company becomes part of Midera Food Processing, a standalone business formed from the separation of The Middleby Corporation's food processing division.

The separation is scheduled for completion on 6 July 2026, subject to standard conditions. Midera is set to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker MFP.

For Sveba Dahlen customers, the day-to-day relationship stays unchanged. Both the Sveba Dahlen and Glimek brands are retained, along with existing product lines, service structures and contact points.

What does change is the corporate structure around them.

Midera Food Processing consolidates more than 30 equipment and automation brands covering industrial protein, bakery and snack production. Its offering spans the full production line, from raw material handling and thermal processing through to packaging, with customers across six continents.

The group employs approximately 2,800 people and is headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois.

Middleby's food processing business, from which Midera is being formed, reported revenue of approximately USD 850 million in 2025. The forecast for 2026 stands at USD 915–945 million.

Åsa Ericsson, Marketing Manager at Sveba Dahlen, described the transition plainly:

"We will continue to deliver the same high quality, the same service and the same strong solutions for bakeries, pastry shops, restaurants and food production. The difference is that, going forward, we will do so as part of Midera Food Processing , a strong international group fully focused on our industry."

The Midera name will appear gradually in Sveba Dahlen communications, though the established brands remain primary. Sveba Dahlen itself has 150 employees and operates globally through subsidiaries, distributors and local sales offices.

The move places Sveba Dahlen within a group whose entire focus is food production equipment , a narrower mandate than Middleby's broader portfolio, which also covers commercial foodservice and residential cooking.
